If you are a smart phone user, finding your caucus site just got a little easier. Iowa GOP has launched aapplications through the Android Market and iTunes. Be prepared for the caucuses by having the Iowa GOP in the palm of your hand! The app is helpful for caucus site coordinators and for those volunteering at caucus sites who may need to direct people to a different caucus site.

To download the app, search for IowaGOP2012 in the Android Market or iTunes. The application’s search results may not be very complete at this point, but as sites are confirmed and the database is updated, this will become an invaluable tool.

Below is a preview of what the app has to offer.

As many of you are aware, the Iowa Presidential Caucuses are tentatively scheduled for January, 3, 2012.

Because of the tentative nature of the date, many of the school districts and other public facilities have not assigned specific locations in which we can hold caucuses.

As soon as the locations become available by precint, we will be posting them here on the Polk GOP website.  Please check back for more information.

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney will be making an appearance in Polk County on Friday, May 25th.

He will be speaking at the Des Moines Partnership’s Presidential Forum Series at Noon.

The Des Moines Register reported today that Herman Cain has announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for the Presidency.
